Our Foundation Built on Passion

EverRootz Beyond Nature was officially launched on 16 June 2026, born from a deep and shared passion for Sub-Saharan Africa with it’s nature, wildlife, and the belief that conservation must benefit both people and the environment.

Our journey began long before the foundation itself. Through years of travelling across the African continent, we developed a deep appreciation for its wildlife, its people, and the delicate balance between them. We also witnessed the challenges that threaten both communities and biodiversity, reinforcing our belief that conservation must benefit people as well as nature.

For us, Nathalie and Bart, Africa has become much more than a place we travel to. Over the years, the people we have met, the relationships we have built, and the experiences we have shared have created a strong personal connection to the continent. Being able to spend time with people working on the ground — from conservationists and wildlife teams to local communities — has given us a deeper understanding of both the challenges they face and the extraordinary commitment behind their work.

It also shaped the way we wanted to contribute. We believe that meaningful impact starts with genuine relationships, mutual trust, and listening to the people who understand their environment best. Wherever possible, we work directly with organisations and individuals we personally know and trust. This personal connection strengthens our commitment and ensures that EverRootz remains closely connected to the people, projects, and landscapes we aim to support.

These experiences changed the way we viewed conservation.

We realised that protecting wildlife alone is not enough. Lasting conservation can only succeed when communities become partners, when innovation creates opportunities, and when people and nature are able to thrive together.

That conviction became the foundation of EverRootz Beyond Nature.

Today, we work throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to connect conservation, technology, education, and collaboration to create practical, scalable, and lasting solutions. By supporting innovative projects and building partnerships across sectors, we aim to protect biodiversity, strengthen ecosystems, and empower the people who are essential to their future.

Every initiative we support is built on long-term impact, integrity, and collaboration. Whether developing conservation technologies, strengthening wildlife protection, restoring ecosystems, or supporting community-led initiatives, we are committed to creating meaningful and measurable change.
